Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in identifying and sourcing parts for trucks and equipment
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and stock levels
  • Process orders, including over-the-counter sales, phone, and online orders
  • Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely availability of parts
  • Maintain a clean and organized parts department

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a partsperson in the commercial transport or automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of truck and automotive parts
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills for inventory management and order processing

Bill’s Heavy Duty is seeking a skilled and motivated Truck and Transport Technician to join our team! We specialize in heavy-duty truck and transport repairs, servicing a wide range of commercial vehicles in the Kootenay region. If you’re passionate about the industry and want to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and transport vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance services.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
  • Maintain service records and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Truck and Transport Mechanic (Red Seal preferred but not required).
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck repair and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 is an asset but not mandatory).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
